Cancellation Policy - Guests

We do understand that hosts and guests can have a change in plans due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case, we want to be fair to all parties involved.

Guests may cancel their trip through our site or mobile app, and the cancellation is effective immediately. Whether the guest receives a full refund, a partial refund, or no refund depends on the circumstances. The total amount refunded will depend on when the guest cancels the trip.



Guests may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of their trip.


A cancellation fee equivalent to 30% of the total trip cost will be applicable to guests cancelling their booking within 24 hours of trip commencement and will be deducted from their refund.

Guest no-show


Guests are considered a "no-show" if they do not collect their ride and do not contact their host within 12 hours of trip commencement.



"No-show" guests will not be eligible for any refund.


Guests who do communicate with their hosts about cancelling their trip within 12 hours of trip commencement will not be considered "no-show" and will be eligible for a 70% refund of the total trip cost.


Possession of the Original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)/ Government issued ID for Foreign Guests


The original CNIC used at the time of the booking must be brought by the guest. Failure to do so will result in the automatic cancellation of the trip with a 70% refund.

Cancellation Policy - Hosts

When a Host cancels a booked GariConnect Trip, a Host Cancellation Fee may be charged at GariConnect’s sole discretion. This fee is charged to cover the costs of rebooking the affected Guest to another car.


Cancellations within a 24 hour time frame from the commencement of the trip will freeze/block hosts' accounts and send it to the review team for potential deletion.

Cancellation by GariConnect

In some cases, GariConnect may need to cancel a trip after booking to protect our users against fraud or for trust and safety considerations. GariConnect will notify both hosts and guests in the event GariConnect must cancel a trip. Where GariConnect must cancel a trip, guests will receive a full refund, and hosts are generally not eligible for earnings.

Please note, in exceptional circumstances, GariConnect reserves the right to allow certain cancellations without any penalty to the guest or host. These circumstances are purely at the discretion of GariConnect and are meant to protect the interests of Guests & Hosts.
